RE: MESSAGE FROM CITY MANAGER AND CHIEF OF POLICE
Pittsburg, California – Dear Pittsburg Residents,
We would like to thank the Pittsburg community for your preparation and patience during the PG&E electrical power shutoffs that began Wednesday, Oct 9th. As power remains out in dozens of cities throughout the Bay Area, we are relieved that Pittsburg has not had any power interruptions due to the Public Safety Power Shutoff. According to PG&E officials, the City of Pittsburg will no longer be considered an affected area.
We would like to recognize the Police Department, Public Works crews, social media team and our EOC staff that have been very vigilant and engaged throughout the Public Safety Power Shutoff.
Our hard-working and dedicated staff will continue to monitor this incident for any changes that may have an impact on our community.
- Garrett Evans, City Manager
- Chief Brian Addington, Pittsburg Police Department
